While the Maurice Jones-Drew situation has not resulted in battery charges, news has emerged of a pair of arrests from the three-day holiday.
First, it was Bucs safety Cody Grimm, arrested Sunday for public intoxication. Now, it’s Saints receiver Joe Morgan.
According to the New Orleans Times-Picayune, Morgan was arrested Saturday for DUI.
Found asleep behind the wheel of his car, Morgan failed a field-sobriety test and later generated a blood-alcohol content of 0.218 percent, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 percent.
Morgan, who is expected to be the team’s No. 3 wideout in 2013, was released later in the day on $1,150 bond. Both the team and Morgan declined to comment.
