Last week Police in Altoona, Penn. received a 911 call from a man claiming he had proof of Bigfoot.
Fox News reports that during the call, John Winesickle reportedly asked police to come over to his house to show them the proof.
An officer was soon dispatched to Winesickle's home where he was shown several images of Bigfoot's alleged footprints.
Winesickle then took the officer on the path in the woods where he thought he had found the prints. However, according to ANI, while filing the report, the officer concluded that the tracks had been made by a bear.
When Bigfoot enthusiasts learned about the call, rumors that a man had shot and killed Bigfoot began to spread all over the Internet.
Sharon Hill of The Doubtful News has been following the story and reported that it had all been gossip.
