That's fancy talk for "acting like an idiot and making everyone affiliated with you look bad."
Sale, who just finished serving a 50-game suspension after testing positive for methamphetamine and an amphetamine, was caught bragging on Facebook about acting unruly at a strip club.
As captured by Deadspin, Sale, 21, said he threw quarters at a stripper and was kicked out of the club. He ended his unsavory rant with a quasi-message to the stripper: "Be thankful" followed by a not-so-nice word to call a woman.
Since he did just finish a 50-game suspension without pay, there's a good chance that two quarters might have been Sale's budget for the night.
The suspension of Sale comes a day after he was added to the roster of the Single-A Charlotte Stone Crabs. He didn't play in Tuesday's game, and now won't be playing for some time. Indefinitely, of course, could just mean "forever" or "until we trade him." Sale hit .264/.391/.464 with 10 homers and 44 RBIs last season in 74 Single-A games.
He's since deleted his Facebook, but good news: His Instagram account is still active and it's full of gems — like his Seattle skyline chest tattoo, pictures of his chew can, various things he eats and his shoes. He's got a lot more time to Instagram now.
Because you're probably wondering: No, Josh Sale is not related to Chicago White Sox ace Chris Sale. Though, Chris will probably be asked that question more than a few times now. Some advice, Chris: Don't respond by throwing quarters at anyone.
