Cooper was born in a spring 1967, in a family of two famous writers, socialite Wyatt Emory Cooper and Gloria Vanderbilt. His mother was also an actress and fashion designer which made a notable contribution to the proliferation of blue jeans.

Cooper’s ancestors from his mother’s side were extremely wealthy. His great-great-great-grandfather Cornelius Vanderbilt was an owner of the profitable shipping and railroad companies. Anderson’s grandparents Reginald Claypool Vanderbilt and Gloria Morgan Vanderbilt were also millionaires prominent in the society. Their daughter Gloria, the mother of Anderson, inherited much of their fortunes and earned an impressive capital herself. Her net worth is currently estimated at $200 and is twice as big as Anderson Cooper net worth.

Born into a wealthy and popular family, Anderson was seen in the media since he was a kid. His mother first took him to the filming of talk-show when he was three years old. When Cooper turned 10-year-old he started modeling and worked with such agencies as Ford Models, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Macy’s.
